I've been doing a whole lot of manips recently and no real writing -- for pleasure or profit. I've had a rough time lately in my personal life, and I just haven't been able to concentrate. But I'm trying. I keep talking about characters and stories that are coming, and I know there's at least a few folks out there wondering when I'm going to follow through. It will happen one day, and I know it's been a long time since I've posted any new prose, but I swear I am trying.
Here's another manip, if you don't mind looking at another one. Tal Celes, as you may recall, is a character that appeared in two episodes of Star Trek: Voyager. She's one of those background characters that I thought could be explored further, so I decided to include her in future Star Trek: Messenger stories (I have plans, remember?). Unfortunately, the actress who played the part has gotten herself embroiled in some serious legal troubles, so to distance myself and the character from the negativity, I decided to recast the part.
So here is English actress Kate Maberly, taking over the role of Tal Celes:
